Hi! I will be using a pseudonym, or a fake name. My pseudonym will be Laura. It is such because I absolutely love the Little house on the Prairie, and because we are going through what they did in moving from the city to the country. In my Introduction, I will explain the following:
1. What my family is like
2. My life in the city
3. Why we are moving
Let's talk about what my family is like. I am the oldest of three children. My sister's pseudonym will be Carrie, my brother's Albert, and my parent's Ma and Pa. My Pa said I can talk about my dogs, so, here goes. I have a black lab named Ham, and no, we didn't name him (Fun Fact: Ham's pa's name was Bacon). Ham was a flunky at Pa's search & rescue task force. We didn't pay a cent for him (I suggest black labs for family dogs). I also have an Australian Shepherd name Bindi. We decided to name her after the Crocodile Hunter's daughter, Bindi.
Next on the agenda: My life in the city. I am definitely not your average city girl. I eat strange things like peanut butter, applesauce, and raisin sandwiches, and also applesauce mixed with chicken, corn, and ketchup. Almost every girl I meet likes pink except me. My favorite colors are green, blue, and black, believe it or not. Almost everybody hates school except me. I love it! Luckily, despite some of my strange likes and dislikes, I am accepted by my friends, family, and acquaintances. However, I have found that there are good people and not-so-good people. Usually, I walk into school smiling bright, but it is the days when kids act up that I wish I were somewhere else, namely the country.
Last, but not least, why we are moving. Pa works as a full-time fireman and reserve police officer. In both jobs, he sees a lot of crime. In fact, it seems that every day on the news, there is a crime, or murder, or kidnapping. My family and I wish to get away from all of that in moving to the country. we also wish to have more animals and learn self-sufficiency. Problem: Housing Market crashed. Solution: prayer. We are praying that we will be able to sell the house we now live in and move to the country. You can help us by praying that, with God's help, we will sell this house. We already bought a house in the country with 4 acres of land, a half-acre pond, a half-finished shed, a house with 4 bedrooms 3 bathrooms, loads of toad-frogs, bullfrogs, and tadpoles, venomous and non-venomous snakes (venomous ones will be found and killed thanks to Carries love of animals and Pa's gun), and already-planted blackberry bushes!
What will follow, as I continue to blog, is the story of my family's move to the country. I hope you enjoy it.
Bye! TTFN!
I am looking forward to reading your blog, Laura. I like your pseudonym.:)
ReplyDeleteI live near where (the real) Laura Ingalls Wilder lived when she wrote those great books, Mansfield MO. They named the library and the school after her!She was a wonderful writer.
I think you will like country life. Are you going to get some more animals?
